13 days in Portugal vs 11+2 in Rome

Due to how transport is working out, either of these options are flexible. I've been to Rome, but my partner hasn't, and neither of us have been to Portugal.

My partner will get to ride the train to Rome, while I would just be flying in.

Is it worth trading two days of Portugal for?

We're considering the following cities, and will have to select based on time: Porto, Lisbon, Figueria da Foz, Coimbra, Monsanto, Omis, Castelo Branco, Evora, and Obidos.

Why not spend those 2 days in the Douro Valley like Pinhao? The landscape is stunning.

It will take you 8+ hours door to door from Lisbon to Rome, so I don’t think this is worth it, but it’s your trip, not mine.
