Hi! We have 10 days to spend in Portugal in October. Looking for something leisurely, while still taking advantage of our time there. My question is, should we see 4 - 6 top cities in Portugal, or explore souther Portugal from Lisbon through the Algarve region and then into Seville with a flight back to Lisbon and then back to the US.
Any advice would be appreciated, the debate in our family is quite heated at the moment!
With only 10 days, I would encourage you to stick with Portugal. And, IMO, there are many more interesting places to visit than the Algarve. While the rock formations are stunning, the Algarve isn’t much of the real Portugal.
With 10 days, I would stick with Lisbon, Porto and maybe a night in between. There are a number of days trips from both of these cities to more than keep you busy.
Agree, Lisbon and Porto are must sees. Also, lots to see between the two.
