On a Lisbon travel site I found an intriguing Restaurant, The Palacio Chado. This is in Lisbon, in the Chado/Baixa area and is in a restored "Palace". I went on line and looked at the photos and menu and we decided to make reservations for the night before we flew back to the states. The restaurant opens earlier then most and when we got there at 7:30 the room we were seated in was already half full and preceded to fill up. This was a Wednesday evening. The staff was very attentive and the setting very nice. The food was very good, my wife felt her meal was one of the best of our 3 week trip. The prices are on the high side, but felt with the quality of food and service, it was appropriate. Two points to be aware of; if making a reservation on Friday or Saturday, a credit card will be required. The one thing that was unexpected was a suggested tip of 5-10% which we thought we would decide when using the credit card machine. We were not consulted and a 10% tip was added to the bill. It was the first tip request in the 3 weeks of our trip. We would gladly go back, but would manage the tip before using the card machine. FYI: we were going to give them 5% as the food and service was excellent. Our other favorite restaurant in Lisbon is El Duque. Happy travels
