We will be arriving by train in the afternoon to Oriente station and flying out the next morning. Is it better to stay at the airport, or near the train station, so we won't have far to walk to a hotel?
Is it possible to see anything in Lisbon for the few hours we will be there? We're coming from the Algarve, after a week of biking!
The Meliá and Marriott Moxy are across the street from the train station. Both are clean and comfortable. The Moxy is a little basic but newer and can get great rates. It’s comfortable and breakfast is good. We stayed there last year and staying again this year. They recognize Bonvoy status. The Meliá is close by and seems nice. Have stayed at the Meliá at the airport and the breakfast was great - would expect the same at Oriente. Sign up for their rewards program for 5% discount and I think you get 2k points that you can use for room rate discount. Check out the reviews on TripAdvisor. Also the mall there is open u till 11p or midnights. There is a grocery store and some good food places in the food court. The metro is right there and can take you to the center of Lisbon - there are some good walks and restaurants in the city center.
