Assibilates to NH Sintra Centro

My Husband and I will be traveling to Sintra Portugal and are thinking of staying at NH Sintra Centro. It looks like a good location, but we will utilize the 434bus system for the attractions. I recently had a total Hip replacement and have had bilateral knee replacements. My mobility has improved greatly, and I know the town itself is quite hilly. Is it difficult to get to this hotel? It looks to be on top of the area or does the bus system access this area making it somewhat easier to get to.

My daughter and I stayed at this hotel ( previously known as Tivoli Sintra) back in May 2019. It’s a great location right across from the National Palace of Sintra but in a quiet street.
Our room had a small balcony facing the beautiful verdant valley. Our room price included a delicious full breakfast.
[I’ve stayed at other NH hotels in Spain and their breakfast is always very good]

The hotel is about a 10 minute walk from the train station but we took a taxi when we arrived since we were sleep deprived and experiencing jet lag.

The bus stops nearby at the main square but it’s usually very crowded since it stops at the train station before getting to the square.
I’d recommend asking the hotel to book a taxi to get to the Pena Palace, or you can also take a TukTuk there.

If you want a delicious meal, I recommend you consider making reservations at our favorite place in Sintra: Incomum
