The Amare in Salema was a most welcoming B&B located in a small fishing village in the Algarve. Bettina treated all of her guests as if they were long lost friends. I cannot recommend this wonderful place enough. The views out to the sea were fabulous to see in the morning and the amenities of the B&B were top notch. The breakfast was the best i had in 2 1/2 weeks of travel. Bettina even makes sure you have wine glasses, corkscrew and cheese board on a pretty serving tray in your room. The bed was very comfortable and towels plush enough. Small drawback for some, I suppose, is that there are a number of stairs to access the property. It didn't bother me though.
