Wroclaw in December - Christmas Market and What Else?

I've just booked a very short weekend trip to Wroclaw for mid-December. Two nights, two long days (flight home departs at 11 pm). Bearing in mind I am just coming from central Italy, so no jet lag or time change, what might you suggest I can squeeze in besides wandering around the Christmas market? Is it worth doing a walking tour and do you have a favorite? Is there a place away from the market square you recommend for a breather from the crowds? I'm not afraid of winter and I love architecture and history. One museum maybe. Not much of a shopper, so I know I'll need time away from the market.

My first trip to Poland. I know it's too short, but the RyanAir flights only leave Friday night and return Sunday night and I can't stay a whole week to wait for the next flight out. Just a sampler, and I know I will return.

Any suggestions appreciated.

I would check with Walkative (freewalkingtour.com). We took their Gnomes and Communist tour which was a fun 2.5 hours. They also offer Old Town which runs every day. Other tours only run once or twice a week. Also, I would definitely find time for the Raclawice Panorama, too. WroclawGuide.com has lots of other ideas.
