We (group of 4 adults) are trying to see the Wielczka Salt mines and hopefully Schindlers factory on July 7. Arrive on the 6th and have to be ready at the airport for a group event midday on the 8th. Thought we had a tour company that would do this but they said they don't offer it that day. So I went out to schedule the salt mines on my own but the days are not available to be booked yet. Several of the toursity companies list the day as a possibility... not a huge fan of the viator type tours but don't want to miss the mines. So 1. Better to do the salt mines on our own or with a tour company? We are very close to a train station so getting to the salt mines is not a problem. . 2. When you go there on your own is the tour guided or are we on our own? 3 If using one of the tour companies which is better? Also I have been to Schindlers factory when on the RS Central Europe tour and our guide helped us get tickets as we had struggled to get them in advance on line. . I loved it but because it was on our Auschwitz day we had to rush so I want to go back. The other 3 have not been to this museum. 4. Is it simpler to go with a tour company to get tickets or better to just do it on our own? 5. And if with a group which group? Thanks.

We did the salt miles on our own. They Break you up into groups and take you around.
We also just purchased Schindler tickets on our own.
