I will be flying from California to Gdansk sept.4 2024. Will visit Gdansk for 4 nights and to Torun for two nights then either by train or car will travel south to Krakow 4 nights and Zakopane 3 nights. I will then fly to Prague for 5 days and back home. If I take a train from Torun to Krakow is a long trip and to Zakopane another 2-3 hours. Should I just go to Zakopane first and then to Krakow where I fly out to Prague? I already have my flights but trains can only be booked no sooner than 30 days prior traveling. This is why I am considering renting a car in Gdansk. any suggestions on hotels in Torun, Krakow, Zakopane and Prague? I would appreciate any suggestions, Thank you

For hotels:
Krakow: Hotel Wawel. On a quiet street just a couple of blocks from the main square. Easy walk to the trams. Clean and comfortable. Excellent breakfast at the attached Black Duck restaurant [reserve ahead for dinner].
Prague: Hotel Hastal. Good proximity to the main square yet away from the tourist crush. Clean, comfortable and excellent breakfast.
Both recommended in the respective RS guidebooks.
