Warsaw Tour

We will be in Warsaw in September for one day and wanted to book a tour, with the ones recommended in Steve’s book no longer exist or are not available. Does anyone have a guide they would recommend? Also, if anyone has a recommendation for things to see on a short visit, I’d be thrilled to hear them. Thanks.

The Warsaw University Library garden was a fun little find. Free to enter the gate and main atrium and poke around, though I think you need to be a student to enter the library itself.

With only one day, you might want to consider Tours by Locals. They all have standard tours and specialty tours. Most guides are also happy to work with you to combine different bits to customize something just for you. We didn’t have a TBL guide in Warsaw, but I’ve used them many times (most recently in Krakow) and have always had good experiences.

Take an Uber or taxi to POLIN, one of my very favorite museums. It tells the story of Polish Jews. Then either walk or UBER to the Old Town and have lunch outside and enjoy the area. If you still have time, the gardens of the University library are very nice, but that would be of secondary importance. If you are a WWII buff, the museums about the Warsaw Uprising would be interesting.
