Warsaw Jewish History Guide?

Hello,

We are 3 adults traveling to Warsaw for 2 days in August and are looking for a guide for a 4-5 hour tour on the Jewish heritage of the city - especially around WWII.

Any suggestions?

Thanks!

I cannot help with the guide question, but if you are interested in Jewish History, I would highly recommend this museum: Polin Museum of the History of Polish Jews. Perhaps they can suggest someone if you contact them, in case you don't get a variety of responses here.

In the below link, look under "Judaica" to get the brochure on Jewish sites in the city (in case you want to tour on your own, or ask the guide to cover these places on the tour - there is a walking map in the back):

I used an excellent guide who took me to eastern Poland to find my grandmother's home, see the Tykocin synagogue, a Jewish cemetery, and Treblinka. She is based in Warsaw and does various tours there. I believe she is a licensed guide with POLIN, the wonderful museum about Jewish history in Poland.

Her name is Ewa Bratosiewicz.
