Walking between Auschwitz I & Auschwitz II

I have only found vague information about walking between Auschwitz I & Auschwitz II in regard to what you would see along the way, references to factories/workshops that Jews from the camps worked at, and railroad ramps, however I 'walked' the area using google maps street view and I really cannot see anything of interest, just typically Polish streets and buildings, I saw no railroad ramps either. Has anyone walked between the camps? Perhaps I looked at the wrong streets? I enjoy history and exploring things that are less popular, however I can't verify that the walk would yield much to see.

Thanks

I didn't walk between them, but I did go between them by bus a couple years ago and there certainly didn't look like there was much to see.

I walked it. I remember it taking a little over half an hour, maybe 45 minutes. There really isn't much to see; just road and some homes. So you won't be missing anything truly historical. If it's a rainy or cold day, or you're just tired, take the bus. If it's a nice day, walk. I will say I appreciated the time to quietly reflex on what I'd just seen at Auschwitz I.

Just walking around Auschwitz means a lot of walking - I know my feet were wiped out (after already walking a lot the prior few days) by the end of that long day. I wouldn't see the point of walking an extra 45 min between camps if there was a bus, given that it seems not to be especially scenic or interesting of a walk.
