Vistula Ethnographic Park

I will be in Krakow. Can anyone give me info on this site? I am interested in seeing some of the wooden structures. I will not have a car. Could I reach there by bus or train. Thanks

I don't think I will be too much help but this tour is included in a tour called "Wooden Architecture Tour" and I believe Cracowtours is the tour group. They only go there twice a week so be sure to check out their schedule. There is a way to get there by train and bus that was given to me by a local:
. Take the bus from Kraków to Oświęcim via Wygiełzów. For an overview of the timetable check here: http://en.e-podroznik.pl/, there are a few.
2. Take the train from Kraków to Chrzanów, timetable here: http://www.rozklad-pkp.pl, and then the taxi. I remember there used to be buses going from Chrzanów somewhere via Wygiełzów, so this might be an alternative, if they still operate (not sure about it). The train for sure may be a good alternative for your return trip, if the bus times are not convenient.
It's not far from the bus stop to the park - one stop is even across the fence - but I am not sure if anything stops there. The other is some 500 m away.
To be 100% sure about the options I'd check the timetable of the buses departing from Kraków, it's right by the main square.

BTW- I ended up hiring a driver to take us there. It cost about 560 Zl and included the cost for the museum AND a half day at the Salt Mine. I didn't feel like dealing with learning how to take public transit in Poland, so this was a better option for the two of us. It was a wonderful experience and the museum is very well done with lots of things to see. Their café had good food too!
