Visiting Wisla

My husband has a business meeting in Wisla Poland the last week of July. My 10-year old sone and I will be joining him. Any suggestions of things to do and see there? We will not have a car.

I'm Polish but have not even heard of this town...I had to Google it. I would expect a pretty mellow place without too much going on except for hiking opportunities (since it's a ski area) and some small attractions that could be perfectly pleasant and interesting. Try to find anything you can on the web, including TripAdvisor Things to Do. How are you getting there exactly without a car? Where are you flying into, and are you planning on seeing some sites along the way?

Nice mountains around. Nearby Wisla is an interesting geographical point where borders of three countries meet: Poland, Czech Republic, Slovakia.

Thanks for the suggestions.

We are flying to Krakow. My husbands business meeting will provide a bus to get to Wisla. However, my son and I are leaving early and are still trying to figure out how to get back to Krakow on our own. I am pretty sure that I can hire a taxi but that is expensive. Any other suggestions? Is there a good, reliable bus? Google says that there is not a good train to the airport.

In the worst case, just rent a car. Really, it's not scary driving in Poland. I would be surprised that there is no bus service of any kind connecting to a larger city but there may be at least one or two connections (unfortunately info on the web for small cities like this is not good, so you may have to wait until you're on the ground). If your husband is going there for business, can't he ask someone what your options are? Alternatively, if you haven't been to Krakow, I would go there instead...much more to see there.
