Train ticket- Does this sound right?

On 4 Dec, I want to travel by sleeper car from Krakow to Vienna. Last Saturday, 2 Oc t, I went to the Polrail site and bought two tickets for a deluxe double sleeper. At that time they said, "E-ticket (E-ticket: to be printed and shown on train. E-tickets are sent by
e-mail to customer within 1-2 working days after issuance.)"

Today I received an email from them that I thought would have my e-tickets. It did not. This email said, "On the night of 05/06 November, a revised Polish railway timetable will take effect. As a result of this, most domestic and international trains are currently blocked pending possible adjustments to their schedules in the booking system.

This will delay issuance of your tickets. We will be checking status of trains on a daily basis, and as soon as your booked train is released from hold status, we will issue your tickets and get them to you.

We apologize for any inconvenience caused by this delay."

It is my understanding that the rail timetables change twice yearly, with the major change coming the second week of December each year.

When does the Polish railway actually revise it's schedule?

From the info you provided, it appears the new schedule takes effect the night of Nov 5.

From the rest of the message you received, i deduce they are still working out the details of just what the new schedule will be

That is just the issue: The rail schedule is changed the second week of December, not the first week of November. Polrail is NOT a rail company, they are a ticket selling company that charges a fee to procure tickets. I looked at their name and foolishly did no research on them, instead assumed they were the rail operator. I have since done some checking and now find there are other complaints of them doing the same thing.

I have written them asking for a refund. We will see.

All has been resolved. Thank you

"resolved" as in you got a refund or 'resolved' in that the timetable issue sorted itself out and you finalized your reservation?
