Torun

Just leaving Gdańsk on our way to Torun and wondered if anybody had restaurant recommendations? Budget friendly and Polish or European would be great.

There are many great restaurants in Torun that offer Polish and European cuisine at budget-friendly prices. Here are a few recommendations:

Pierogarnia Stary Toruń - This restaurant is famous for its pierogi (Polish dumplings), which come in a variety of flavors and are made fresh daily. The prices are very reasonable, and the portions are generous.

Pod Strzechą - This traditional Polish restaurant is located in a historic building and serves up hearty, homestyle dishes like pork knuckle and roasted duck. Prices are affordable, and the portions are large.

Masala Twist - If you're in the mood for something different, Masala Twist serves up delicious Indian and Nepalese cuisine. The prices are reasonable, and the portions are generous.

Restauracja Szeroka No. 9 - This cozy restaurant offers a mix of Polish and European dishes, including fish, meat, and vegetarian options. The prices are reasonable, and the portions are just right.

U Szwejka - This restaurant is a great spot for beer lovers, as it offers a wide selection of local brews. The food is hearty and filling, with options like sausages, goulash, and schnitzel. Prices are affordable, and the portions are large.

I hope you find these recommendations helpful and enjoy your time in Torun!

I like the chain Pierogarnia Stary Młyn, they have several locations including Torun. Basically the ultimate Pierogi experience. They have all kinds of pierogi in all kinds of preparations, including vegetarian, all with very nice presentations, plus other nice menu items like rustic Polish salads and hearty soups. It's also very user friendly, the staff were great and explained everything very well.

Everything seemed budget friendly to me. :) I liked this one for something just a touch different and very charming on my last night there: Restauracja Mistrz i Małgorzata

I also liked Pierogarnia Stary Młyn - but I ate at the one in Gdansk, not Torun.

And I enjoyed Restauracja Chleb i Wino.
