We are booked for the Rick Steves Poland tour which begins Sept. 17 in Gdansk. We would like to visit WW2 museum that day before tour starts that afternoon and museum website states there is free admission on Tuesdays. However, when I tried to obtain online tickets for that Tuesday, it is blocked out (as are all Mondays when it is closed.) Any suggestions on securing tickets before I arrive? Thanks!
I can't speak to that particular museum, but some museums don't do timed tickets on free days. That might be what's happening here.

I'd anticipate a bit of a wait in that free-day ticket line. I made multiple visits to the WWII Museum in 2018, spending a total of 20 hours there (so much to read!), and on one of those days I was in line for about 15 minutes. Perhaps things will have calmed down by now since the museum has now been open five more years.
I'd recommend that those planning to go on non-free days get tickets online rather than showing up empty-handed.
Consider supporting their economy for a fabulous exhibit. The entrance fee is $7.50 us money.. the free days are usually so crowded anyway.
I found this on:

On Tuesday, you can visit the main exhibition and the exhibition for children for free. Then every visitor is eligible for a free ticket and it is issued only at the Museum’s checkouts on the day of the visit.
