Tarnow

We (late 50s couple) will be arriving late afternoon May 5th in Tarnow, spending the entire day there Monday, May 6th, and departing early on the 7th for Krakow.

Any one have any experience or recommendations as to how we should invest our time? I have the Tarnow in your pocket guide, but that's about it.

The city centre is well worth exploring. As regarding specific attractions I remember a very nice Diocesan Museum behind the cathedral and a well maintained Jewish cemetery north of the centre. I'm sure the tourist information can give you further suggestions as does the Wikipedia entry on the city.
