I am going on the Best of Poland Tour starting June 25. We plan to arrive a couple days early. I want to go Sopot, resort area north of Gdansk. Has anyone been there? Recommendations for hotels?

I suspect it is busy...any recommendations in terms of activities, lodging and meals?

It may be packed, but that won't deter the many Europeans that will be there - it's summer at a beach resort.
Have you looked at Hotel prices? Do they fit your budget? If so, go.
Sopot is basically a suburb of Gdansk - a short commuter train ride away - you can always just stay in Gdansk and go in for a day - or two.

Chatting with my wife, we will stay in Gdansk and venture to Sopot since it is very close...looking forward to visiting this beautiful sea port. I'm surprised my cuz my wife loves beaches...go figure. Also, looking forward to walking Monte Cassino as my farther fought there in WWII with Anders Army.
