Has anyone taken a class on pierogi making and what are your recommendations. I have read about two classes: One is in a restaurant and the other is in a home which includes shopping for ingredients as well.
Thank you.

In which city. I am also looking into cooking classes - eatpolska.com has pierogi classes in Kraków and Warsaw and polishyourcooking.com has a general cooking class in Warsaw only. Are these the same websites you are looking at?
Sorry for not making myself clear. We are looking at Krakow. The two web sites I have found for Krakow were Eat Polska and Deliciouspoland.
Thanks, will check Delicious Poland's website. My husband is a chef so he might like the one which includes the shopping. The other couple we are traveling with are easy going and will agree to whatever I book. Hopefully, someone out there has done one of these classes, if not, our choice might depend on dates and times.
I highly recommend the three hour cooking class in Krakow given by Delicious Poland. www.deliciouspoland.com. The class is given in a small room in the restaurant - ours was a private class of three. The class began with a wonderful assortment of appetizers while we got to learn about the woman who would be teaching the class and the co-owner of Delicious Poland, Kamila Sliwinska who would translate and assist with the preparations.
I have been making pierogi based on a family recipe but these were much different. I will definitely be making changes next time I make pierogi. Kamila talked about other recipes for Polish cooking and emailed recipes after the class was over. She even sent a picture of a key ingredient for making borscht - something I will have to look for in the US.
We had a hearty meal of the pierogi that we made. She even offered us pierogi to take with us.
It was a fun experience and one of the highlights of our trip.
Thank you for remembering to let me know about the class. I will definitely go on your recommendation and make a note to book with Delicious Poland. How was the rest of your trip?
