Oskar Schindler Factory tickets

Hello! I am having trouble purchasing tickets for the Oskar Schindler Factory in Krakow. I have tried two different credit cards, a debit card, and Google Pay. Each time I put in the payment information, I get a transaction failed message, but the charges have shown up as pending in the credit card account, only to later disappear later. I have received ticket confirmation emails and a few hours later, cancellation emails.

I think I read that tickets should be purchased in advance. Does anyone have any suggestions or tips?

Thank you!

It may well be related to card-security requirements on the Polish end of the transaction that some US card issuers don't adhere to. Have you tried a debit card? Perhaps that would work.

Or is PayPal an option? You can use it without having a PayPal account, I believe. PayPal will put a charge through on your credit card. You need to be alert to the fine print, however, because PayPal defaults to charging the purchaser in his home currency at a not-good exchange rate. You'd want to change the currency to zlotys.

The factory was selling out on at least some days when I was in Krakow in 2018, so you're smart to try to buy in advance. I had the impression tickets didn't need to be purchased terribly far ahead, but travel seems to be up right now, so I'm can't be sure.

It was the online advance tickets to Auschwitz thay were the toughest to get in 2018. They were sold out for 8 days in a row while I was there, with no guarantee of availability at the memorial ticket office where the line was exceedingly long and was open to the elements.

Thanks for your ideas!
PayPal is not an option and I’ve tried a debit card without luck. It’s not an issue of bank or credit card alerts.

Hi Julie. I can help with that; we were just there 10 days ago. 2 things. You don't need to pay when you reserve tickets. Just pick a date and time and select option to pay when you get there. But also there are plenty of tix now. On website you will see they offer 20 tix per time slot. For example Sep 1 many time slots have all 20 tix still available; some other slots only 2 or 4. Museum is 30 minute film on Schindler factory history then many many displays (go at your own pace) about more general history of Krakow during WW2. If you are a history buff you could spend a couple hours there. Otherwise museum can be a little overwhelming. BTW we really enjoyed Krakow. Enjoy your trip!

@periscope. No, almost no line when we got there. Because of rain we were delayed walking there; got there right at our reserved time. No problem just paid for our tix and went in. The whole thing is at your own pace; they reserve tix by time just to avoid overcrowding but you don't do anything as a large group; just go in when you,re ready.
