Northern Poland in September

Planning a September trip with my husband. So far I’m thinking 3 days in Berlin, 2 nights Poznań , 4 nights Gdańsk , 4 nights Warsaw, fly to Budapest for 4 days then home. We have visited Wrocław and Krakow on previous trips. Any advice on this itinerary or ideas on highlights. We will probably stay in Airbnbs for the 4 night stops. Thanks

If you like food tours, there's a fabulous one in Warsaw. The company is Eat Polska. We took a food tour by them 3 years ago after reading a blog post by Cameron Hewitt on this website, what I would consider to be a rave review. Put "Eat Polska" in the search bar and you'll find Cameron's write-up. Ours was really fun, great food, took us into some neighborhoods we otherwise wouldn't have gotten to see.

If you want to go on a tour of the Parliament building in Budapest, get your tickets in advance, online. The can sell out.

I like it.

I went from north to south in Poland over the month of September last year, then flew to Budapest. I have not been to Berlin or Poznan, but you can see quite a bit of the other three cities with 4 nights each. And those 3 are the cities I ended up with apartments (I had hotels in my other 3 stops).

And since you have been to Poland before, it sounds like you could always make your way back if you felt you needed more time.

Here’s my trip report - but there are quite a few good reports recently that might help you.

My husband and I are planning to go to Berlin, Gdansk, Warsaw and Krakow in Sept too. Are you going to take a train or plane or bus through Poland?

I will be doing this trip in April and will be taking the train. I am not sure about Poznan as I heard there is a lot of construction and the city is all torn up. Anybody been recently and do you think we should skip it?
