Mailing post cards

When I travel, I try to mail postcard to my family. Some places have been easier than others. A couple of countries didn’t have the traditional post card or I couldn't buy stamps or find a Post Office.
Are post cards available in Krakow? Do souvenir shops sell post cards and stamps? How does one go about mailing a post card?

Just an idea: I finally gave up and enrolled in an internet product that takes a photo (or mosaic of photos) you provide, and prints and mails a physical postcard from their American post office. I value saving the time in line, buying stamps. Yes, I would prefer to mail an old-fashioned card, but it's not worth the effort required. My app is TouchNote, but I am sure there are others.

There used to be a post office very close to the Krakow Glowny, ca, not more that 2-3 minutes. I was there.

Can't give you any recent info on Poland re: post cards and the availability of stamps.

On sending post cards: I send a lot of cards to the family from Germany, France and Austria, I mean, one or two dated just about every day, ie, lots of cards.

Getting stamps is basically no problem, pretty easy since you can expect to see post offices in the centre-ville of towns and cities , in Germany even easier, eg, inside train stations, or close by, shopping malls, etc

That is helpful to know. I will be staying at hotel near station and will use Google map to locate it.

You might want to check with your hotel for stamps. A few of mine over the last few years have had stamps available for purchase at the reception desk. And sometimes the shops that sell postcards will also have stamps.

Be sure to send one to yourself. They make great souvenirs.

I will check with hotel, great idea. I have used hotel help in past to mail the card as I couldn't find a mailbox.
I always send one to my middle school aged kid who keeps a collection. And always fun as cards arrive after I do. I also send one to my elderly parents who live in South America - they have an even larger collection of cards from my trips.
I usually buy extras to keep as bookmark.

Postcards are readily available in Krakow and other tourist heavy places throughout Poland. However I never send postcards so I can't offer any advice on mailing them.
