We will be in Poland in June. We are planning to take a day trip from Warsaw to Kalisz, probably traveling by train. We are looking for a guide who can show us around the city for a few hours, particularly the old Jewish parts of the town. Thanks for any help!
A quick Google search did not turn up anything promising. If no one here can offer a guide, perhaps it would be worthwhile to contact the town's tourist information center to see if its employees can hook you up with an English guide: https://www.kalisz.pl/en/tourists/information-for-tourists
After our Poland tour we wanted to visit Wrocław, Trzebnica, and Pawlów, where my wife's parents were from. (At the time is was Germany, but ceded to Poland after the war.) We finally had to book a private tour through Kensington. It's pricey, but we couldn't find another way to do it. If Kalisz is off the beaten path you might need to do something like that.
This town featured importantly between the Russians and the Prussians in the history that would end up in the eventual defeat of Napoleon. It was known then as Kalisch.
Per your question: Can't provide any help in that regard.
