We have traveled Europe al ot each summer for the past years
We spend , like 4 days in a place, if its worth that amount of time,
if not 2 days and move on, have seen lots, like omg.
Now Poland never been there
Travel next June, maybe 8 days for time in Poland
Any info on places, or sites experiences would be helpful.

I went to Poland in 2025, for 3 weeks. not nearly long enough for a gorgeous, fascinating country. However as you only have 8 days I would suggest Gdansk, to see their outstanding Solidarity Museum, WW2 museum, and lovely river atmosphere. It's an easy train ride to Warsaw and there are other attractions nearby. I enjoyed Warsaw- Chopin in every pore of the city! It's not as beautiful as Krakow which is a top city for tourists deservedly. You can go to Auschwitz, Schindlers factory and the Salt Mine on day trips but it's a walkable, scenic city with great cafes and shops. Wroclaw is a university city which is also very beautiful and walkable. All are well connected by great train services. Eating out is relatively cheap and if you like classical music it's very easy to get tickets to a myriad of concerts. Hotels were competitively priced and Qubus in Gdansk has a sensational breakfast included. Hope this helps.
I would do Wroclaw and Krakow. So much to see in each city and they are easy to get to from one another.
What are your interests? From Krakow, two small, pretty towns are Zalipie, and Kaszimierz Dolny. You've maybe heard of Zakopane, which is a mountain resort destination SE of Krakow.

We visited Krakow and made it our hub for 7 nights, August 28 - September 4, with side trips to Auschwitz, Czestochowa, Wadowice, and the Wieliczka Salt Mine. All were outstanding and worthwhile. We stayed at the boutique Leonardo Hotel, between Old Town and Kazimierz, and it was excellent for a leisure traveler; its walkable location gave easy access to sites, shops, and restaurants of each district.
We splurged and hired a local driver, mentioned in the Rick Steves Guidebook, Andrew Durman ([email protected]), who assigned his associate, Karol, for all side trips for our convenience and comfort. We could not have made a better decision. Karol is professional, friendly, and fluent in English. He helped us a few times in Auschwitz, Czestochowa, and Wadowice with the language barrier. Additionally, he offered local recommendations for restaurants and things to do in Krakow, including "hidden gem" restaurants, which complemented the information from the Guidebook and the various Facebook groups we surveyed in advance.
You won't be disappointed spending 4 or more days in Krakow. Good luck!
Great to hear from another Krakow fan. Did you go to Nowa Huta, where the Arko Pana church is? Truly inspiring 'people power' story and led by the beloved Bishop Karol of Krakow. I am not religious but this moved me to tears, inside and out of the church. I had several engaging conversations with locals who saw my tears. Indelible memories.
We visited Nowa Huta last week with Krakow Urban Tours. We were lucky to have Marta as our guide and were the only ones on the tour. Highly recommended!
If you are near Gdansk region, consider the Wolf's Lair. It was the military headquarters for Hitler and his commanders. The thick walled concrete buildings were blown up as the leaders were vacating and evading the Soviets. The remains of the meeting room building, as shown in the movie Valkyrie, are there. The walls and roof structures of the complex buildings are resting in unbelievable positions.
Near the Lair, is a fascinating church with its animated pipe organ. Swieta Lipka is a popular sight. We were treated to a organ performance while visiting.
