Hi - I will be travelling to Tbilisi for a volunteer trip in March. On my way there and back I have a long layover in Warsaw. 8 hours and 10 hours. Is it feasible to leave the airport and be able to see some sights? What do you suggest?
Yes. Easy to do. Suggest you download the Bolt app before you go. Bolt is similar to Uber but has lots more drivers in Eastern Europe it seems just from my observations. It will take 25-30 minutes to the central part of town. This will give you lots of time in town.
I remember taking the Tbilisi flight about 10 years ago and it left around 9pm or so. Assuming you already have your boarding pass before you head to town I would plan to be back at the airport about 75 minutes before departure unless it is a flight to the US which requires extra security checks. Note - I don’t believe in getting to the airport 3 hours ahead especially at smaller airports
Thanks Arnold
