Krakow to Zakopane Day trip

I need advice for our first trip to Zakopane for one day this May.

  • The best, easiest and probably independent way to get there

  • What to see (no long hiking trails as my DH has COPD

  • Best day of the week? Friday or the weekend?

There are buses running there. I would go on a weekday (less crowded).
