Is there a train to get from Krakow to Venice. We would like to stop in Graz but it is not necessary. Thanks so much
Not "a" train, but a series of train connections make it possible. Graz requires a detour, as it is not on the normal rail route between Vienna and Venice. You can plot a route using www.bahn.com. And it will take a couple of days if you want to avoid a night train.
That's one I would consider doing by air. Are you specifically avoiding flying? Ryanair flies a nonstop into Treviso.
Flying Ryanair is the fastest option but if you are not familiar with European low cost carriers, make sure you read their terms and conditions and follow them to the letter.
thank you. I wouldn't mind taking a night train and avoiding Graz. I am not familiar with the European low cost airlines. What are some of the regulations?
Go through Ryanair's website, https://www.ryanair.com/us/en/
Make sure you follow all the rules re, print your boarding pass ahead of time, carry-on size limits, pre-pay checked luggage.
Hi,
Like the other major cities in central Europe, Krakow to Vienna is an EN night train route. You arrive at Wien Hbf at 0600 hrs ,have one hour to change to Graz. Wien Hbf is new , a huge place, lots of very nice eateries for breakfast. I've been there at 0700 hr or so. If you decide not to stop in Graz, you can continue from Wien Hbf. By day or night train, Wien Hbf is a very convenient junction point
