Krakow to Cesky Krumlov, Czech Republic

I need to get from Krakow to Cesky Krumlov. I was considering the train for the scenic beauty. However, cannot determine how to book the tickets.
Any ideas?
Private Transfers were too expensive, bus 2 hours longer than the train. Could fly to Prague then train to Cesky Krumlov. Car expensive with the different locations to pick up/return.

Thanks!

Is there a typo where you said: train 2 hours longer then the train. Maybe you mean bus?

I just looked at Rome2Rio. The train from Kraków to Český Krumlov is 10 and 1/2 hours and it goes through Prague. I like your idea of flying to Prague and then taking the train from there. That's only 2 and a half hours by train from Prague to Český Krumlov.

Lisa, did you happen to see the recent discussion about spending an entire day going to and returning from Auschwitz with no overnight in Poland? OK, Europe has countries smaller than the United States. But would you recommend someone attending a wedding in San Diego to visit Portland, Oregon on the same trip?

Poland does not pair well with even adjacent countries. Cesky Krumlov is quite a remote location. When we were in Prague for five nights, we hired Rick‘s recommended car service to drive us three hours to CK, and three hours back, same day.

CK is worth the effort to get to, but I suggest you put it off to another trip. It’s fine to spend the night, but that is not necessary.

I agree with Tim, but I will share this:

RyanAir has a non-stop flight from Krakow to Prague, which I think you've already uncovered. Austrian and LOT fly to Vienna. Bean Shuttle has runs to Cesky Krumlov from both Vienna and Prague. Those are not private transfers, so they are not terribly costly; they seem to be priced at 80 euros for two people. I don't know how the travel times from Prague and Vienna compare, or how much time you'd need to get from the airport to the shuttle departure point, but it might be worth checking to see how those shuttle schedules align with the flight schedule. I think there is only one flight per day to Prague, and there seem to be two per day to Vienna.
