Krakow to Cesky Krumlov

In October, my husband and I need to travel from Krakow to Cesky Krumlov in one day and wonder if it's better to do this by bus or a shuttle service. It looks like we will need to change buses twice, but since the schedules aren't posted, it's not clear if the schedules align in order to make the trip in one day. The one shuttle service I could find online, CK Shuttle, is a bit costly, but does state that refunds are given up to 7 days prior to the trip. Has anyone used this service and/or had to get a refund? Thank you for any other suggestions!

We used CK Shuttle. It was great! Fast convenient. Worked well for us. We did not need to get a refund so no experience with that.

You can definitely make the journey in one day by public transport. The fastest is by bus from Krakow to Ostrava-Svinov then by train to Prague then by bus to Cesky Krumlov. It takes 9 hours 15 minutes. You leave Krakow at 12:40, arrive in Cesky Krumlov at 21:55. There are many other combinations all of them taking longer. I was not able to find the price for bus from Krakow to Ostrava but my educated guess is that the full price from Krakow to C.K. is about $20 or less. My recommendation would be to compare prices with shuttle and then decide how much more over 40 dollars you are willing to pay for convenience of door to door service. For detailed schedules check this website: http://www.idos.cz . You can switch it to English. Ask for schedule with train and buses combined.

This is exactly the specifics that we needed! The shuttle would certainly be easier, but much more expensive. We now have all of the information we need to make a decision. Thank you so much for your quick response!
