We have located the town that our Jewish grandparents left in Poland in the 1920s and it is out in the countryside east of Warsaw. Does anyone have any information on hiring a guide perhaps with some knowledge of Jewish culture to go with us (or take us) to this town to translate? We understand there are Warsaw guides, but wonder if there are any leads on services that take you out in to the country. Thanks!
I would contact Polishorigins.com They have tours and also will arrange private tours to meet your goals. Check out their incredibly helpful website. Good luck!
Couple thoughts
You might contact the new Jewish museum in Warsaw for help?
Or less specific this web pages offers connections to local people to act as guides or translate.
