I want to visit Wroclaw and zalipie
We stayed for three nights in Wroclaw in May last year, and it was very worthwhile. We stayed at the Art Hotel.
It’s a university town with an indoor market, and lots of little gnome statues scattered throughout the city, inspired by the underground resistance during communist times. Lots of interesting architecture and big public squares, worth doing a lot of wandering and exploring. We didn’t take a river tour by boat, but that appeared to be an option.
Two great restaurants close to each other: Cafe Konspira (with a resistance movement vibe, and a “secret room”), and Młoda Polska Bistro, with live piano music. You may already know this, but the city’s name is pronounced “Vrote-zwaff,” not “Row-claw.”
Thank you very much. I really appreciate it especially the recommendation for restaurants that can be difficult when you’re traveling. I do want to know about the art hotel. I made reservations there and then I changed it to one. That’s an Boulder establishment but if you think the art hotel was worth it in a good location I might just switch back to that they both were about the same price point but thank you so much
I’d stay again at the Art Hotel. We had dinner there the first night, and the breakfasts were very good. Location very good, and the room was comfortable.
My view is that if you want to visit them, then they are worth it.
I also visited Wroclaw last summer, after the completion of the RS Poland tour. Was traveling alone., I loved my four days in Wroclaw. And yes, I too stayed at the ART Hotel. Loved it. Very good location, just a block or so from the main square. Prime location. Being a walker by nature, I walked to and from the hotel and the Wroclaw train station. A moderate distance, very flat. The hotel is lovely. Clean and comfortable. Stellar service. Very nice breakfast. A nice buffet, in a somewhat upscale dining room. Rates seemed reasonable. Would I recommend the ART Hotel? Absolutely, YES! Many dining options, from simple to rather upscale, within walking distance.
