You booked the hotel without knowing the answers to these questions? Why??

As with anywhere on the planet, if you can’t be bothered to travel by train or bus, the answer would be to walk or take a taxi. What city are you talking about?

Surely you looked at the location before you booked?

Welcome to the Forum. Tough crowd, eh?

From your post on polishforums.com regarding transport to/from the airport, it looks like you will be in Krakow and you have already received some advice on transport --> https://polishforums.com/travel/airport-transfers-krakow-87050/

I will add that you could use a car service like Blacklane that meets you at the airport, but it is super pricey!

Hi there,

I would never use Blacklane in Poland, with Uber or Bolt (similar app) you can get around in all large cities very affordable…

Take care

Good that you booked this hotel, I'd do likewise since I am familiar with this hotel, it's right by the train station, Krakow Glowny, a few minutes walk. The Mrs and I stayed there twenty years ago, it was fine then.

In 2017 she stayed there again on a solo trip to Poland as I had already come back from my Europe trip. She liked the hotel even more so. In 2017 the hotel had already been refurbished, the immediate area built up, (galleria) , etc. even better than what we found it in 2001. Next trip to Krakow staying at Europejski is well worth it.

Going to the Rynek, the large main square, is ca 4-5 walk...nice all around.

I don't base my choice of hotels or Pensionen on reviews. That is for sure not determining factor in Poland, and above all, in Germany.

Hi,

Part 2 here: If you want a bit more luxury than that offered by Europejski, somewhat further down, still within walking distance, is Polonia, pricier too.

You can get where you want as regards to the sites in Krakow on foot. We didn't bother with taking public transport either, certainly no taxi. Nowadays, riding sharing is not an option for me.

As a city Krakow survived the war pretty much intact, was spared wide spread destruction by bombing and not raked by artillery fire.
