With one day for hiking in the Tatras Mountains, where do I find the best information on where to start? We are very experienced hikers and we are looking for challenging hikes, not the easy tourist hikes.

Why not to aim for the highest mountain in Poland Rysy. It is all day strenuous hike. From Zakopane to Lysa Polana then hike to the one of the most beautiful lakes anywhere - Morskie Oko (Sea Eye) then up to the lake Czerny Staw and then it starts zig zag up up up. You can get more information about this and other challenging hikes at Mountain Rescue Service in Zakopane.
