Help planning for 7 days in Prague and Poland

Hello,
This is our first trip to Czech Republic and Poland. We arrive in Prague Oct 22. I have an appointment in Zielona Gora on the 27, and we fly out of Poznan very early on the 29.
Our original plan was to spend a couple of nights in Prague, take a night train to Krakow, spend a day and a half in Krakow, takes late afternoon train on the 26 to Zielona Gora.
However, we are now worried that's not enough time in either Prague or Krakow.
Given our constraints, we are considering to skip Krakow, and either spend more time in Prague or find another place in Western Poland. However, looking at train schedules, we might have to do 3+ transfers if we skip Krakow.

Is day and a half in Krakow worth it? Or should we stay somewhere in West Poland? If so, what are some suggestions?

Thank you!

Krakow demands more than 1.5 days for that much travel time. I would catch the FlixBus from Prague to Wroclaw (4-5hours), an absolutely delight. Then you’re on the direct train line to Zielona Gora from Wroclaw (2-2.5hours) . Wroclaw is one of my favorite cities in Poland. I adore Krakow too but that’s a hard stretch from Prague and then to ZG in that little time. Cheers.
