Gdansk to Krakow - fast & direct train purchase help

I am planning a trip to Poland which will include 3 days in Gdansk, followed by a fast train to Krakow where I will be 4 days.
I was told to use https://koleo.pl/en/ to book my train (I had trouble with the other website Intercity, I think).

I won't be able to purchase the ticket for another few months as I travel late summer, but I am on the website testing it out and checking prices and how to purchase. I usually prefer to travel on the right side window (if front of train is 12 o'clock, I would be at 3). But is one side better than another? Does it matter for view?
Right now it is EIP 5302 train, 5h20m train ride leaving at 10:55 so I would like a good view if possible.

It seems the train only has 2 cars as first class. Is the difference to second class just a larger seat? Anything else that makes first class better?
And how far in advance can I actually purchase a ticket? I'm just testing it now with an earlier date.

Thanks for any insight you can share!
