When arriving Gdansk Glowny, are there elevators or escalators to get you up to street level without climbing stairs? I watched a Youtube video and the signage was entirely in Polish so I am not sure how to get from my arrival platform to the station itself. I want to catch a taxi or Uber to my hotel in Old Town. Any help much appreciated.
When we were there a few years ago they were fixing the elevators so they should be fixed by now.
I found this article about the completion of the renovation mentioned by Barbara. It indicates there are elevators and escalators.

First of all, just follow the crowd. You will descend from the platform to the station below. Per the Man in Seat 61:
There are 5 island platforms numbered peron 1 to peron 5 serving 10 tracks. Steps, escalators & lifts take you down to the main passageway & ticket hall below. Note the deck above the platforms, where there's a taxi rank & car park - if you want a taxi go up, not down.

In addition to Uber, Bolt seemed to be everywhere in Poland, FreeNow as well. If you install the Bolt app on your phone, you won't be able to create an account until you reach a country served by Bolt.
For public transport - trams and buses - jakdojade.pl is indispensable - both for schedules and buying tickets. You can also buy a multi-day paper ticket at the train station, which may be easiest of all.
The Gdansk Glowny station is excellent, though somewhat antique. There are lifts at all the platforms, and also to get you to the ticketing hall. I can't tell you about taxis, as we never used any, but the staff there generally speak English quite fluently and can help you with directions. We found most Poles to be very good English speakers.
