Looking for suggestions for college age daughter traveling solo for 4 days prior to starting a language study program in Vilnius, Lithuania. She will have visited Krakow and Warsaw. I was thinking that she could see a few smaller towns on the way from Warsaw, , make her way to Gdansk then fly to Vilnius. Doesn't look like the trains are very fast. Looking for suggestions. Also, any suggestions for youth hostels in Gdansk would be appreciated. Many thanks!

Or maybe some town(s) between Warsaw and Vilnius? Like Białystok, an underrated place in my opinion. With far less other tourists than Gdansk.
