Followed Ricks advise & used Andrew for Auschwitz & Czestochowa. Couldn't have been better. An absolute gentleman & real hoot! I would have paid just to have him drive us around & talk, So much great info, history... so accommodating. Highly recommend as he takes care of every detail. Speaks fluent English & has a wonderful personality. I wish he was in Warsaw now. As I understand it, he will take you to other contiguous country's as well. Not expensive & worth it! Best investment I made this trip to Europe.
Totally agree about Andrew. He was our driver for a day in my husband's grandfather's village and went way out of his way to find a contact.
Based on all the glowing reviews of super-driver Andrew Durman, I tried very hard to secure his services for our stay in Krakow the 3rd week of Sept-2018. Not a surprise that he was already books, but arranged for his assistant Bart to take us to Auschwitz one day, and the Wieliczka salt mine the next. Andrew kept me informed of the arrangements right up to our arrival in Krakow following a week in Warsaw and Gdansk. Very professional and thorough! Bart was a great driver, spoke english well (altho I sat in front with him and chatted in Polish, but he would shift into english for the benefit of my family when appropriate). Nice, air conditioned Mercedes van, and Bart would walk us to the tour guides, and never left us not knowing where to go.
Its hard to imagine a better, more accomodating driver than Bart, and Andrew must set the bar high for his help. I would highly recommend Andrew and Bart to anyone headed to Krakow. The rate charged was very reasonable, but didn't matter to me how much it cost because the service was that good!
This is helpful. I reached out to Andrew and he is, of course, already booked, and offered to provide an associate. Wasn't sure if I could trust the associate but according to your account, John, it sounds like it will still be a great experience.
I had a great driver recommended by the guys at Apartments in Poland - you could try reaching out to them?
What is the name of the company that employs college students for drivers?
