Hello travelers!
Any recommendations on the"best" way to get from Dresden to Krakow. I understand there are no direct flights. Would a train be a reasonable option? Any experience with FLIXBus as an option?
Many thanks!

Dresden-Krakow is a 450 mile, 10 hour train ride, and the train would probably make a number of stops to only average 45 mph.
On the bus, it's a 12 to 13 hour trip, but the fares are very inexpensive. The buses are pretty plush and air conditioned.
We were on a bus 250 miles and 4 hours in Spain last week, and that long was tough on the rear end. Then we took the 6.5 hour fast train from Barcelona to Paris and it was more comfortable averaging 100 mph.
I would really not want to do the train when the temperature's very warm as some of the Czech and Polish trains are not as "civilized" or well air conditioned as we'd like.
Long bus ride, but very inexpensive. FLIX is an established long-distance bus. I take something similar from DC to NYC.
If you haven't been to Prague, maybe you can break up the trip by stopping there first (although you'll still have a long ride even after Prague).
I would do this ride by day on the train, change once in Prague.... pretty straight forward.
