Hi All,
I appreciate any feedback from those who have experience in this area.
My 16 year old son and I are going to Poland in the beginning of October and looking to take an overnight trip from Krakow (our base) to the Tatra Mountains. We will have a car. Here are some specific questions:
-We'd like to spend our one full day with a beautiful, but not too strenuous hike and cable car, and want to know if it's best to stay in Poland, or to cross the border to Slovakia. I realize they could possibly have snowy weather at this time, so hoping the cable car would still be an option, if so. Where are some of your favorite cable car rides and/or hikes?
-I'm seeing a lot about the Cable Car to Lomnický Stít online. Has anyone done this and would you recommend?
-We'd like to spend one night in a quaint town close by (preferably airbnb)... somewhere we can get some good mountain cuisine. Any suggestions?
-Anything in this area we should not miss? I ask because once I took a trip to Switzerland and took an unplanned trip to Wengen, and back to where I was staying, but didn't know that I could have taken the train I was on to the top of Jungfrau (which looks like the most amazing thing!) until I got back. This has made me be super careful about what not to miss!
Thank you!
