Day trip from Warsaw

In Poland last year, we had several nights in Warsaw, then moved on to other cities and towns, but didn’t do any daytrips out of Warsaw. One possible daytrip that sounded interesting was to Chopin’s birthplace, close to Warsaw, at Żelazowa Wola. I know the Rick Steves guidebook described how to get there, but as we didn’t do it, I can’t give you any details about bus, train, taxi, etc. I don’t know whether there are any Chopin minibus tours that include it in the itinerary.

If it were me, I would go to Trebinka. I'm very interested in the Holocaust. I've seen Auschwitz but none of the other sites.

It looks like it's an hour by train from Warsaw.

I would go to Chopin's birthplace or Lodz because Lodz is where I stayed my first time in Poland decades ago and it's special to me and I imagine it's changed a lot since the late 1990s.
