We have an extra day (tomorrow) in Warsaw. Can anyone recommend an easy day trip outside the city? Thanks.
In Poland last year, we had several nights in Warsaw, then moved on to other cities and towns, but didn’t do any daytrips out of Warsaw. One possible daytrip that sounded interesting was to Chopin’s birthplace, close to Warsaw, at Żelazowa Wola. After he moved to France, he never returned to Poland, but there’s a museum in the house where he was born, https://muzeum.nifc.pl/en/muzeum/wizyta-informacje-miejsce/ .
I know the Rick Steves guidebook described how to get there, but as we didn’t do it, I can’t give you any details about bus, train, taxi, etc. I don’t know whether there are any Chopin minibus tours that include it in the itinerary.
