I want to rent a car in Krakow and leave it in Warsaw. How do I find car rental places that are NOT at the airport? I do not want to pick up or drop off at either airport. Thank you so much.
Go to autoeurope.com and enter you your locations. Book with them too.
Thank you so much for your help.
We rented a car from Mavo (https://www.mavorental.pl/en) near the city center in Krakow a couple weeks ago. They were very easy to work with both prior to the trip and while we were there. We returned it to the same location though.
glassie,
I would highly recommend contacting GEMUT as they're extremely helpful and have a lot of information about rentals in different countries. I believe they have a toll free number, or you can send them an E-mail.
I haven't checked but you may need an International Driver's Permit for driving in Poland. These are used in conjunction with your home D.L. and are valid for one year. If you do need an IDP, they're easily obtainable at any AAA / CAA office for a small fee.
You DO need an International Drivers License to legally drive in Poland.
