Bus on Poland Tour

We are thinking of taking the Poland but the long bus rides seem too much. What have your experiences been as far as the long bus rides.
Thank you.

I have taken 3 RS tours, but not this one. There are only 3 bus days on the Poland tour. Two are 3 hours and one 5 hours. They are always broken up with a stop for the restroom and sometimes a meal break or to take in a site; depending on the itinerary. The buses are always spacious and comfortable. I find it's always a nice opportunity to look out the window and see the country you are visiting; or rest if you are tired. You have to get from place to place whether it's by bus, car or train.

I have not done the Poland tour but checking the itinerary I see you’re only on the bus 3 days. After 12 tours, we have always stopped after around 1 1/2 hours. I don’t know about Poland but in other European countries it’s mandatory the driver has a 30 minute break. Yes, 5 hours is a long time but the country is large and the tour covers some distance in a short time. Usually the guide talks a bit about a personally chosen subject and there’s some quiet time.

After 4 RS tours, I am not troubled by longer bus rides. As well as pit stops and lunch, they are often broken up by a longer stop at an attraction. I used the time to daydream, catch up on my journal, read the guidebook, etc. For introverts, this is a nice break from the togetherness of a group tour. (And sometimes the extroverts could be found in the back of the bus playing cards and chatting away.)

We did this tour recently and I am not a big fan of buses nor long car rides etc. The bus rides felt very very tolerable and minimal to me. Definitely go on the tour if you are interested and don’t let the bus rides hold you back. It’s a fascinating tour !

Great tour, took it last year. I don’t like prolonged bus time either, but for some reason the bus time we did have went by quickly. This tour is a wonderful window into Polish history and culture, highly recommend it.
