We will be in Warsaw (1 adult and 2 teenagers) the first week of August and would like to make a quick trip to Krakow (and back). Anyone have any suggestions that will not break the budget? Thanks!
The train is probably the most budget friendly and quickest option. About 2 1/2 hours each way.
I agree with Lane. Poland has a great train system and it is quite reasonable in price, reliable and very comfortable.
Train. I did that route last month. Very easy.
Thanks to each of you. A consensus is always good!
Are you thinking of it as a day trip? That would be a long day.
Few people visit only one city in Poland, but I'd rate Krakow way ahead of Warsaw. Can you base in Warsaw instead? We made a daytrip from Warsaw to Lodz (family history), which is an entirely reasonable daytrip. Not all our trains in Poland were on time.
Krakow is worth more time. We have been there several times and my suggestion would be several days if you have it.
