Anyone been to Paczkow?

It's not far from Wroclaw... Eyewitness guide says "Carcasonne of Poland" (insert slight eye roll), pics remind us of Rothenburg's wall. Wondering if it makes a good stop on our drive back to Krakow from Wroclaw area.

Not sure if you'll find anyone on this forum, that whole region is super off the beaten path even for Poland. I stopped very close by in Otmuchów, on the drive from Krakow to Wroclaw. It's another beautifully preserved baroque town with a stunning castle.

The Silesia region is dotted with all kinds of these "mini-Prague" towns, all with hardly any tourism. Paczkow seems promising too. If you are looking for another option as a mid way stop I can strongly recommend Kłodzko, with its imposing Prussian fortress and preserved old town.

Ooo cool. Thanks, Carlos, for the recommendation, had seen Klodzko mentioned somewhere but the general comment about the region is promising too. (I just read your Poland trip report today, found it very interesting.)

Happy to help! If you have any more questions or need suggestions about the Silesia region between Wroclaw and Krakow let me know. It's probably my favorite part of Poland to explore and I have spent some time in the area.
