accommodations with or near a pool

We are two friends in our 60's (but young!) traveling to Warsaw for 5 nights at the end of April. We are looking for a place that has 2 beds, in a fairly central location-- air b and b or hotel or band b. I do have a reservation at the Sofitel though it may be too expensive. Any suggestions for places with pools or near public pool would be great. I have looked at a lot already, but I am unfamiliar with the layout of the city, and need some guidance, especially looking at air b and b places. Walking and taking taxis is fine with us.

Speaking only for Warsaw (although I would assume the same would be true of the other cities), the only places you will find indoor pools are business/luxury/boutique hotels just like the one you booked. In that case, just use www.booking.com or www.hotwire.com and conduct your search based on amenities (both sites can filter on central locations as well). For example, the Mamaison Hotel Le Regina Warsaw is centrally located in Old Town and has an indoor pool. With business hotels, I have the best luck getting good rates on hotwire.com although you should shop several sites.

Perhaps someone can weigh in on thermal baths (perhaps in Prague) that can serve as a substitute if you want more local-style accommodations but still be able to access a pool (airbnb, etc).

Thank you so much. We are only interested in Warsaw. I have read that there are some public pools in the city, and that , perhaps, you can pay a fee to use facilities at a hotel.

I will wholeheartedly second Agnes' recommendation of MaMaison Regina, located on the edge of New Town (which is still old, not to be confused with downtown Warsaw proper)--truly a lovely hotel in every way. Staying in the Old or New Town will put you right in the midst of the main tourist sites, and I walked 20 minutes to both the National Museum and the Museum of the History of Polish Jews. Our dollar goes a long way in Poland and each hotel was approximately $100 US per night last May.

Thanks so much. Ma Maison le Regina is a lovely hotel for sure! It is very hard to pass up an air b and b in that area for 1/3 of the cost. Also, I cannot see the layout of the twin room. If the beds are close together, this is not for us. Maybe that hotel or Bristol or another hotel will let me pay a fee for day use. Or maybe I should wait till just before we go, and then get a better deal. Thanks so much.
