Recommendations for a 10 day trip to Poland in December. How many days are recommended for each city, Wroclaw, Krakow and Zakopane? Also, any must sees for each area?
Love Poland - but Gdansk is a must! I had to go back this year, having been there for my first time last year. SO many things to see there.
In Krakow, Schindler's Warehouse Tour and Nowa Huta - did Crazy Guides Tour - absolutely wonderful!
If you are going to Zakopane, then don't miss Chochołowskie Termy, one of Europe's very best thermal spa.
It'd be lovely in December.
I love Poland too!
I just finished the Poland tour. I’d suggest 3nights for Gdansk. This gives you 2 full days to enjoy the museums and the city. 3 nights in Warsaw and 3nights in Krakow are good.
I’m on the train now to Zakopane for 3 nights,
I don’t know anything about Wroclaw except it’s the home town of the Pope John Paul II
Diane, his hometown is Wadowice.
Pope John Paul is a hero to the people of Poland no matter what town or city you are in! You will probably find more connections in Krakow than Warsaw. He was ordained in Krakow and served there for many years.
Yes . One year I was leaving Poland the day he was arriving for a visit. Witaj, Ojcze Święty! Everywhere
Does that mean "Welcome Our Son"?
Welcome, Holy Father
