Radisson Blue Hotel, Gdansk

Hello all,

We are starting to second guess our decision. We are confirmed for 2 nights in July and now wonder if we should be staying in the Harbor area.
We are arriving by rail from Krakow for a short first visit and want to be in the right location.

If we should change, are there any recommendations for a nice hotel? Are we good or should we change?

Thank you so very much.

Have you located the hotel on Google maps? Looks like a great location to me, very close to one of the city gates (and a nice high-starred hotel). Gdansk is pretty compact, there's nothing wrong with the hotel location. I haven't stayed at this particular Radison Blu, but they should be uniformly of high quality, modern, clean, etc.

You'll likely need a taxi from the train station, but they're inexpensive in Poland.

Thank you. There is no problem. We have since read about the harbor area and wanted to confirm we made the correct decision.

Much appreciated!!

What is the "harbor area" you're referring to? You mean the old shipyard? If you're referring to where the old crane is, that's only about a 5 minute walk from the Blu hotel.

I cannot clarify. I have read in my research about the Harbor area and was just asking if we have made the right decision. This is our first visit

Your help is appreciated.

I agree with the others. This is a very nice area. We were in Gdańsk last July and we enjoyed dinner each night along the water and then walked around after dinner. Plenty of people about. We ate early, but if you want to eat a little later, I recommend making reservations. We loved Gdańsk!

Thank you. We are not going to change our reservations. Just wanted to verify we are in the right place.
Dinner reservation suggestions are welcomed in Gdansk. We are spending several days in Krakow prior to Gdansk and taking a food tour. We are very much into trying local cuisines. I was thinking since we are in Gdansk for a weekend, we should make some reservations and welcome any advice. We are leaving Gdansk and heading to Oslo for a cruise.

Thank you!!

If you are especially interested in food, I think reservations would be a good idea, especially over a weekend. Gdansk has become extremely popular.

We plan to do that. Suggestions are welcome. We would like to enjoy delicious local food. We are very much into trying the regional specialties and I love any type of seafood.

Thank you so much for your interest.
