I have a cellphone plan that does not have good international options. I have used e-sims but I prefer NOT to go that route (it is really a pain when you have to sign onto sites requiring two factor ID). When visiting Iceland, trawire was a clear winner for renting a wifi hotspot. I have been looking and there are providers but many don't seem to be local and I am not sure if I will have coverage in the far north. Does anyone have any experience with renting a wifi hotspot for Norway? Thank you.
Not exactly the answer you are looking for but maybe it helps you.
In Norway you will find a lot of plces with free wifi, e. g. restaurants, cafés and hotels (Scandic hotels always have the same login). For relaxed Internet surfing with a good coffee I recommend Kaffebonna - some branches in town.
